Hi guys, just got new sprockets, including a 14t for the front, and a new chain thanks to slicks contest. With the 14t however, the chain is rubbing the crank case. Is this normal for a 14t sprocket and if so should i let it wear istelf down or dremmel it or what?

no, its just a KMC non o-ring, only had to become a member to get it, and i wanted to be a member regardless, i want an renthal gold r-3 o-ring but i will wear this one first

Shouldn't hit the case however, i have an o-ring chain which is way thicker, and it is a pubik hair away from the case but the Freek case saver will protect that. That is a heaver duty chain than stock it fit on my ride with no problem but that was a 13t. I think speedracinshift has a good point!

slickerthanu is right also about it shouldnt hit the case. so as in case u are prob refering to the black plastic side cover i hope. if so just do what i stated above with it. if its hit n your case that a diff story.

haha i just said cause i saw some rubbing on it, but that was prolly because my last chain got real loose real quick. I actually found the problem. the bottom chain roller disapeared!!!! I thought it loosened off real quicl when i was adjusting the rear end, do i need a 94 link chain with the 14t, or will it work if a tweak the rear end, just dont wanna try if it isn't gunna work

i worked on it more today, its pretty much a rub everywhere, it was on the plastic stator cover, and it is rubbing on the shifter, the chain is supposed to go below the bottom chain roller or above it. if it is below, should i grind the shifter a bit or leave it?
