i was just wondering what types of lubrication copuld be used for a D.I.D. chain non oring style. it came with some stuff already on it but i wanted to lube it up for riding and i wasnt sure if i could just use some bar and chain oil or regular oil or what . any help is good

well i was hoping to ride today and the dealers are all at least 30 minutes away
and i dont have transportation
but i do have a good assortment of oils here

you can always use PB Blaster, its a lubricant used in mechanics to losen bolts. also i have use wheel bearing grease as a temp solution while riding becaue i forgot my spray lube. pam cooking spray work really well my buddy said for a temp solution. i use pam on my tires when i go mudding in my truck. hope some of these help

yeah , thanks everybody for the responses. hopefully it helps others also, i actually decided to wait until i get the right lube before i ride it again

I agree about not using wd40. That is one of the worse things you can use. Wd40 is a degreaser. It will take whatever lubrication you had on your chain right off. Its better to use wd40 to clean a chain then re lubricate it.

I made the mistake of using WD40...haven't noticed anything negative though. I only used it once. Liquid Wrench makes a good chain lube, but it's for o-ring chains as far as I know.

I use white lithium grease in a spray can you can get it at walmart for $1 if you buy there brand, been using it for a few years and the chain is lasting me a long time and a few of my friends use it to and it working good for them too.

liquid wrench atv/motor cylcle chain lube FTW!!!!!!!!!!!! can be had at any parts store or wallmart.....

and wd 40 WILL not hurt your chain, when i raced bmx we used wd 40 before each race, reducis friction drasticly, and less pedal effort to me...
