Im trying to find out why my engine has a huge air leak. Im in the process of trying to split the cases to inspect. I just want to remove a case half and not the tranny. I have the clutch hub and basket in place as well as everything else on that side of the engine. I have removed all the screws and flywheel/stator from the opposite side of the engine. I cant get cast to lift off. I have tapped a bit and I have about 1/4 inch gap in the cases but I cant get them all the way apart. Do I need a splitter to get the bearing pushed off the crank? I was thinking it should just pop off but now im not sure. I know I need a clymer manual cause this factory manual doesnt show as much. Thanks in advance.
