Does anyone have any pics of a case saver for the engine??or know where to get one???Thanks

No a case saver goes in front of your chain so if it ever snaps on you it doesnt go threw you case. Ive been looking for one myself forever for the blaste but i can not find one ne where so I assumed that they were not available for the blaster. If ne one knows where to find one let me know cause i cracked my case on my dirtbike once and ecer since then Ill always run one if possible. (Wy cheaper than replacing your case)

Does anyone have any pics of one so i can see how they fit on and how much and what part of the case they protect so i can see if the machine shop at school can make me a prototype or at least blueprints for one.

i will look into it tommrow after noon if i get time.. could prob make something out of sheetmetal.. wouldnt look the greatest but if it wil save from blowin a hole in the case im all for it even if it is ugly

im guessing in front of the front sprocket.. since the sprocket spinning yould send the chain in the direction of rotation..

im thinkin it wouldnt be hard to make something out of like 22g sheet metal that you could have as one piece that would go behind the sprocket and curve around in front of it to keep the chain in line if it snaps

The best ones are made of hard plastic (polyurethane?). They absorb some of the impact and don't transfer the shock to the bolts. Seen a few do that. Sure they saved the case, but now it's sheared off where the bolts attach.

I'm sure someone could easily make up a few out of that stuff.

hmmm yeah ive been thinking of looking to get one as well. I access to a ton of polymer material I might try and fab one up for my blaster one of these days.

i have an idea. and mysta made it better. my dads shop currently does a 4 day week so no ones in the shop friday and the weekend and they have everything for machining. im talking large cnc mills, big and small cnc lathes, manual lathes, 2 big boring mills and so much other sh*t i cant even think of. if i could get some of this material(they could probably order it for me to) with a cnc mill i could easily start producing them.

think it would be worth the time in doing the design of it in solidworks/cad and making the program for the mill?

Cheap insurance and well worth the $30-$40 they cost when compared to a torn case. Now only if somebody made one for the blaster. Hmmm.... :)

hmmmmm I:I

ill look into it. i know i have the run of the shop on the weekends but i would need help and teaching to do the programs on the mills.

My case cracked around the shifter,on my first ride after getting it all back together! It's in a shop right now getting the case replaced though.I have seen lots of blaster cases cracked right behind the front sprocket though. If anyone is going to start making them or anything.PM me! thanks

They aren't easy to mass produce because its so tight to fit one in there. I can get pics of the one my dad machined up. We had to cut some of the inside plastic stator cover to get it to hold to existing bolt holes, but you cant even tell its there from the outside. The ones you could buy would only work with 13t sprocket, but I got my 14 on no problem.
