hey everyone...hello again..lol.
i would like to come across a detailed diagram and even better a tuning guide for the mikuni carb on my blaster,its just stock, i tried to get a manual from mikuni on the web but they didn't have one.
anyone know of a place where i can find more info on this?
also i wouldn't mind getting a nice after market carb when i get some more flow saved up, any suggestions on what i may want and the best place to find it?

well...actually what i got going on is :
1.excessive black carbon/oil build up in the exhaust port and on top of piston.(like a 16th of an inch build up !!! )
2. pipe and silencer all wet and black like it appears to be oil build up, my plug looks like its burning fine though, i thought maybe my carb needs to be tuned.
after a good hard ride my silencer will smoke out the end and smell like burnt oil.


what do i do?
I figured i would start by turning the air,fuel screw a 1/4 turn and lean it a bit.
any suggestions?

if your pulg is buring good adjusting carb aint gonna do anything more than make it to lean or to rich what kind of 2 stroke oil u burn...i use castor 927 which burns dirty in my opinion.i run my mixture at 40;1 or 48:1 depends what mood im in tryin mixin alittle leaner on your ratio or different oil hope that helps peace

amsoil hp injector, i just looked at my plug and its perfect light brown color...so i guess its my oil just burning dirty ?

ok..I talked to pitboss and i have come to the conclusion that he really knows his sh*t !!! lol ..thanx for your help pitboss.
i run good oil, my plug is burning perfectly and theres nothing wrong with my machine other than it has a cheep mikuni carburetor on it. Ill wait it out a bit ,as long as i can cause there are a few other things i want to get first, but soon i will have a keihin 28 mm carb listed in my signature section .

lmao...yea !!! I hear that. he sais he sells like two after market carbs a day to replace the sh*tty stock mikuni carb on blasters, i told him to let me know how much including s & h,
