I recently rebuilt my quad, including carb, I reassembled everything today, turned the gas on and gas was overflowing out of every hose on the carb, including the bowl drain, which the screw is TIGHT. WTF is going on, this has been a very long rebuild and I just want this thing to run, I'm tired!

alright, i'm talking about where you would drain the bowl of the carb gas flows out of it even though I have the screw tight... this is because of a gasket between the bowl and the carb? I'm sorry i just want to make sure we're on the same page.

you should have a gasket where ur bowl mounts to the bottom of the carb.sounds like ur talking about the drain screw that drains the bowl is leaking?i would say take that screw out and check if there is like a rubber seal or somethin on the screw.if there is then clean it good and try again but if it still leaks then you would need another one.im not sure if there is a seal on that screw or not just a suggestion

yes, when my float needle was just bad, if i had my float set at spec height, fuel did come out of the "drain", it is an overflow also, and just a drain when the screw is loosened, look inside the bowl, there is a tube that sticks up into the carb that acts as an overflow
also, look at the inside of the 2 aluminum posts inside the carb where the pin goes thru the floats, mine had little grooves worn where the float makes contact that was causing the float to hang up, if so, file 'em flat

ok i just pulled the screw out of the gf's, there is no seal but the screw has a tapered design and should seal when tight.. make sure its not rusty at the tip of the taper if so gently sand it smooth..
