Carb Questions

Hey guys,
I have an 04' blaster and I ordered the la sleeve 240 kit and the air striker 35mm carb. The question is the t.o.r.s on the 03' and up blaster is a different set up than the earlier models. I cant not find what I need to do to remove this thing. I have seen the vitos removal kit but it comes with the cable and and some other parts for the stock carb which i dont need cause im not using the stock carb, I have seen lots of write ups on here for the earlier model blaster but not so much on the 03s and up....any info would be great thanks
 
unplug the end that goes to the box on top of the carb, then solder the wires together that go to the throttle assembly

when you are saying solder the wires together that go to the throttle, where are you doing this at? are you cutting wires up by the thumb throttle or where?
 
yeah, up towards the thumb throttle, this way you make a jumper, and you aren't actually cutting up the harness.
 
no, on that one you just unplug it at the handlebars

which one the parking brake one? and when you are saying make a jumper what does that mean, I have never like doing electrical lol, do i leave the throttle switch attached and just disconnect the wire and solder it then tie it up somewhere and is the parking brake just to be unplugged at the handle bars
 
yes, unplug the two wires that go to the throttle and soder/strip the ends and twist them together. They should be plugged into the harness under the hood. Since you have the hood off, find the wires that run up to the clutch lever and just unplug them
 
the parking brake just needs to be unplugged, but i would clip the wires from the throttle and solder them together. then unplug the connector on the tors box
 
I think I got an idea of what I have to do now, Im just waiting on the motor parts from la sleeve to get here and I will put it back together. Thanks for all the awesome info you guys gave me!
