what is this clip in the carb you lower or raise?is it the black thing that wraps around the big spring when you pull the top off do you turn that or something.pics would be nice.

when you take the slide out of the carb there will be a needle coming out of the bottom of the carb. to adjust the needle clip position you have to take the first separate the spring from the top of the slide, then there sre two very small (very easily stripped) brass screws to be removed then you will be able to slide the needle out, there is a clip on the top of the needle that sits in a groove. to move the clip downwards will richen the fuel and upwards will lean it out.
by the way make sure you ae working in a clean area, and dont drop anything , there are a bunch of small important pieces in there
thanks for the info. im not taking it apart anytime soon.I keep seeing things about moving this clip and it was buggin me not knowing where its at or how to take it apart.in process of rebuild.
