out riding the bike today and kinda beating it harder then usual. i see that the carb is leaking from the hose off the bottom on the bowl. so i loosen the drain screw and re-tighten it in hopes that would fix it but it doesn't. so as a last resort i put a screw in the bottom of the hose to stop the leak and kept riding. well after parking i see that its leaking out of one of the little side hoses now. is this a float issue? or maybe a dirty needle and seat? i thought that bottom hose was only for draining the carb but now that i think about it i remember a little pipe that was on the carb bowl that went up into the card. i am thinking that if the carb gets to full it starts to over flow into that pipe and out of the lower drain hose ?

i had the same problem im not too good wiht carbs nor do i know much about them but when mine did that i took off the bowl and turns out that the float was stuck on something in there so i wiggled it around, resaaembled it and it works fine now

i will do that. i am not sure but i have a feeling the float is gonna have fuel in it. i just cleaned and set the float height a few months ago. either way its gotta some off LOL

your blaster is broke because its pissing on ur shoes/. HAHA!
j/k ur pilot clogged or like every saying is the float. some sh*t mightve gotten in there. b4 u take it apart heres what u do.. take the end of a screw driver and tap the bowl for a lil.. this lil trick works dude. if it doesnt then thats when u gotta clean pilot. see if theres gas inside the float if there is u need a new float

what gaskets ? i used all new gaskets but its not leaking from a meeting surface its leaking from the drain and vent tubes

Yea what gaskets? Intake? Carb only has one on the float bowl nd I've never replaced that when open it up. EVER. Unless u mean the slide which I think has a gasket if its a flat slide but that wouldn't make the carb leak anyway. Gotta be a float or jets clogged

When you have it apart clean the drain seat with a Q-tip and the drain screw lightly with a scotchbrite pad. Blow it out with air. Check float valve and seat for wear.

haha good idea bro. mines doing the same thing right now. i was just about to do a post but i read this one. going to try all them now.

Hey guys, sorry to wake this thread back up but I need a little input. Just finished rebuilding my top end, took it for a blast down the street and back, engine running flawlessly, and as soon as I parked it it started pissing out the overflow as well. I've had float issues on and off for a long time. Opened 'er up again and gave the float bowl a good clean out and checked the mobility of the floats and that little bobbin. Stopped pissing after I bent the float flange a little to compress the bobbin earlier in the float fill process but the odd thing is that if I shake the machine back and forth it will start to piss, then stop again once I stop shaking it. By far the oddest of my float whoas to date and has me flirting with just buying a new carb all together. Any ideas floating around guys? (no pun intended...believe me).

Cheers.

You mean inside the float bowl itself? Because I assumed the float was always supposed to stay full. Or are you talking about inside the air-sealed black floats causing it not to float...because that would certainly be a good thought as it would cause the loss of boyancy, didn't see anything but I bet it would be something to look more closely for.

Yea the black floats inside the float bowl. Slide the pin out an the watchuma call it spring. And inspect everything. While ure @ it give it a good ass cleaning. Use a que tip inside valve I keep forgetting the names of them. O_o read the diy on cleaning the carb. Its something minor I'm sure

I appreciate the input. Where can i find the DIY for carb cleaning? I have just been using compressed air (computer cleaner). Any decent and cheap solvents you'd suggest?

BTW, how do I add a pic to my profile? Can't see a way to do it.
