carb issues

i recently bought a stock 89 blaster for my son to ride, and as i was cleaning it up and fixing the things that where wrong i noticed that the threads on the top of the carb are stripped out and the tors box will not tighten up.. i was wondering if there is a way to fix the threads? any help is greatly appreciated.

make sure not to get it inside the carb and to only rap the threads. or u could just get a new carb
