Carb Help

I can not get gas to flow into my carb. Im new to quads so i am completely lost. gas flows out of the tank but it when its hooked up and i drain the bowl nothing comes out.

your float tab is out of adjustment. Moe it down, but ever so slightly, and also check your float needle for grooving

Thanks, i had the bowl off and everything and the float seemed to be moving fine but the little tabs would not move. would that have anythimg to do with it?

clean out ur petcock on the tank

you have to bend the little tab that connects to the float needle down

gas flows out of the tank just not through the carb. i bent the tab down and still nothing??? would a complete rebuild fix it maybe?

Sounds like it is just a clog somewhere in the carb. Check where the fuel hose connects for dirt or anything that could be plugging it, and try spraying some carb cleaner down in there. Compressed air might work but i'm not sure if that could possibly damage any other parts of the carb.

Compressed air works good, just dont put the air nozzle directly against and dont spray for a long period of time just burst.

i got back to work on this today. tore the whole carb apart cleaned it and put it together again. i think it is the pilot jet that is cloged or something because when i take it out gas will flow through there but when its all put together it still wont let gas through. what is the best way to clean this or is it just easier to get a new one?
