Can't find my vin!!

I can't find the Vin on my 88! I it's supposed to be by the shifter? Any ideas on what to do?!

it should be etched into the frame. you can lightly knock the paint off and see if its there. air craft paint remover would be the trick too. I:I

yes mate it is ment to be on shifter side. if you do find it give me a pm with the vin and il do a check for you but my guess is why isn't it there ? on ma quad its nearer the front of the quad under the plastic but mines is a 2002 so not sure about the older ones. keep me updated buddy

That's odd... Was It ground off? Maybe there's a way you can use the motor numbers! Assuming it's the original motor/cases. Maybe the numbers are very faintly still in the frame, it's possible you can clean it up with a wire brush to reveal them or maybe if your daring you can VERY LIGHTLY grind down and they will show up better. Use slot of caution if you try that method but ask for other advice first before you do that. I hope this helped you out
