So my current Blaster is beyond repair, so I'm shopping for a new ATV. I went to an ATV scrap yard, and the guy there restores ATVs as well as dismantles them, so after I looked over his massive stock of great machines and test rode a few, I found that I really liked the Honda Big Red 250 3 wheeler. It has front/back racks, custom foot guard bars, speedometer/odometer, big mud tires, and works perfect and is in great condition. He also, however, has a Blaster 200 that was 100% rebuilt and is for sale. It has Maxxis Razr tires, Nice aftermarket exhaust/muffler, flawless white body and black frame, and freshly rebuilt engine, Also runs perfect and strong.

He's asking $1600 for the Big Red, and $1200 firm for the Blaster.

I'm torn. I want them both, but I can only buy one. Opinions?

3 wheelers are a blast but unless you are a skilled, experienced rider with them the potential to get hurt is alot higher. besides the blaster has got to be way faster :-/

1600 for a big red?!?! Thats just a tad high, like a 1000 to high!!! Blaster definately, you'll get bored with the 4poke trike before too long

alright, I was kind of in the area of the Blaster, but I'll get that. I could probably get it for $1100 too. =D

I have some experience with trikes, and I noticed that they are a lot faster than a 4 wheeled ATV with the same engine, and harder to control. This one was different though, It's a BIG trike, not a little one.

big reds are slow its more of a hunting 3 wheeler than anything...reverse and electric start is nice tho...the blasty is about 10 times faster and way more fun. i have a 250sx which is the sporty version of the big red and it nowhere compares to a blaster. id say blaster too if you want to have more fun

Same here...

but by all means, it isn't our decision on which quad you get. If you want a big red, then get it. BUT, we are trying to help you out, $1600 is A LOT for a big red. 1100 is not bad at all for a restored blaster. Hell, blasters in bad condition and ugly as hell go for that around me..so 1100 is definitely not a bad deal for a blaster if its in as good condition as you said. I would go for the blaster!

Ya I realize.
I will get the Blaster.

I'll put up some pics when I buy it.
