can reeds affect compression?

i got this blaster of a friend who assures me he had it running last year after he had big bore kit put in 240 he said it was just hard as hell to start. well ive got spark fuel and only 30 lbs compression. before i go tearing the head off i need to check everything possible out.

yeah with that little compression its time for a rebuild .

I can help you out with parts and inspect the 240cc cylinder for you. Maybe the sleeve dropped and that could be the loss of compression.

if u only got 30lbs u need a rebuild man u should be at the least 100 but good running is 130+ some blasters have more depending on head work they have.but with 30lbs u need to look no futher

do you have spacers on the reeds?
if so id take it off but it shouldnt affect compression by tht much lol
