Can anyone tell me?

I was working on my bike and came accross a mounting bracket I'm pretty sure isn't' being used they way it is set up now. Could anyone tell me what it is for and if I need it?

its hard to tell from your pics.. but my guess would be the exhaust mount.

that mount it suppose to be hanging down from the subframe not up. Its used to hold the oil injection bottle on.

I figured it was for the oil injection but the way it was sitting I couldn't figure it out. Thank you! I will be removing this tonight!

The exhaust is mounted on the other side of the sub frame. I origionally thought it was put on to possiblly mount up a right bend exhaust system?

no problem. sometimes its tough to figure something out when someone else has modified or changed a part. You can remove that mount but if you want to get a cfm airbox in the future it uses the lower oil injection mount.

If I end up going that way I could always re mount it. I personally couldn't weld if it meant life or death but I have some friends who are handy!

For now I am going to mod the current air box and add an aftermarket filter. I'm excited about getting started on that project but I have a lot to do before I get to that point!

You have any other suggestions 245, 305, or anyone else?
