Building my stock stroke/wildcard ported trail motor

just another update, it got too cold/dark out by the time i've been getting off of work to make much progress. the motor is pretty well ready to throw in. I just need a couple hours of decent weather/light to get this stuff done.


on a side note, once i have my garage at the new house i won't have to worry about this stuff

got the motor in today and it fired up on the 2nd or 3rd kick!. purred like a kitten.......







































for about 30 seconds. then there was some kind of catastrophic failure in the bottom end. carnage pictures to come tomorrow.....

feels like the crank may have failed, not sure just yet!

Thank you SCD for having me check out the flywheel before going deeper....


the flywheel was bent, and sheared the key. that was the scraping sound that i heard, was the crank spinning in the flywheel. i lapped my spare on there, new key, fired first kick.


but i did forget to silicone where the pipe and flange meet, and she spit out a whole bunch of oil from assembly lol.


did i mention klotz smells delicious?

That sounds great brutha! so only issue was a woodruff key and bent flywheel? SWEET! I:I

well, my masterlink is missing the clip, no idea where it is....so i think it'll be new chain time.

just took it for a little spin around.....getting the rear brake on is now top priority! she rips!


putting in 2nd gear, ripped to half throttle....didn't really pull the front because she was throwin roost!


no vids yet....once i get somewhere that i can really open her up i'll see what i can do

heading to my parent's house this weekend to do some ripping on it, and see how it does when you actually open up the throttle. might hit a practice mx track too
