Building my stock stroke/wildcard ported trail motor

Wildcard did a jug/head for me last spring. I also run a stock crank but I have a pipe and 34mm carb. It runs really strong, you won't be disappointed.

build is back on!!!!!

going to end up using my cases from my old motor...the ones i bought for this project need several bearings replaced.....and i have yet to find a good way to get that done without spending a TON of money on it.

plus that one has my SMS bolt kit etc in it, fresh crank, crank bearings, i will be replacing the seals for piece of mind, even though they probably only have around 15 hours on them

fresh wiseco piston came in yesterday, will be tearing it all down this week and finishing it all up

its one case from your motor, one from another, they've both got a couple bearings that are a bit rough.....

Wow how did i miss this thread back in January???
Glad your finally getting it going bro!

I too want to build a spare motor, for the experience. I've disassembled four of them but never actually put one back together completely. As far as bearings I have a list of all the part numbers (stock yamaha) somewhere I want to replace them all, as the spare bottom end I have the bearings are all junk. I want to say I paid $125.13 for all new bearings, a bit expensive, but worth it IMO.

Cheapcycle parts.com, but i think that boats link awk put up is even cheaper, Here is all the stock yamaha part numbers for the bearings (all but the crank bearings)-
Should help ya- Oh and it should be under $120, I also bought new lock washers and woodruff keys..

#93306-20335-00-balance shaft (Gear side)
#93306-20211-00-balance shaft (Flywheel case side)
#93315-21429-00-clutch push lever bearing
#93306-30438-00-drive axle bearing (sprocket side)
#93311-51554-00-drive axle bearing ( 1st gear side)
#93306-20431-00-main axle bearing (clutch side)
#93311-31576-00-main axle bearing (second gear side)

thanks for the heads up slick! i may order those and fill up those other cases and build a little racier motor....still going to be a small bore/stock stroke setup...just more agressive

i made some long threaded studs, and then used an automotive harmonic balancer puller to do it

so whats the progression on this bro?? u got the motor together and rippin?

on the stroker-its expensive man, ill break it down for how much it cost me, lol

+3 stroker crank-200
KOR agg port work set up for +3-160-head mod-60(also had to buy a new piston because the one i had was discontinued)
35mm carb-120(if u can find one for that price,usually around 150-180)
cpi bb pipe-350
gaskets-60

i spent 1k. then i have over 5 into my 240, not saying u will be this deep, but its going to be up there and if u pay someone to do it, it cost even more, i did it myself so i saved a bunch of money.

progress finally!!!! I think I have parts from 3 or 4 bottom ends in this thing, going to get the leakdown done yet tonight, and then If all is well, and pending decent weather, it goes in the blasty tomorrow

didn't get it in, had more thread repair to do.

got that fixed, just passed a leakdown. hopefully I'll get it in over the next couple days, I also need to get my rear brake caliper on before riding the new motor....front brakes don't work very well when they're off of the ground. and thy were already up quite a bit.

I'm just hoping I don't need to go to a longer swinger, that Laeger's is too sweet to ditch!

just another update, it got too cold/dark out by the time i've been getting off of work to make much progress. the motor is pretty well ready to throw in. I just need a couple hours of decent weather/light to get this stuff done.

on a side note, once i have my garage at the new house i won't have to worry about this stuff
