Hi sorry to bother everyone. I am in the middle of a quick build so I can sell a blaster that I have. I have the whole bike together except the top end. I have the jug off of my old blaster that I put a vitos 240 kit on. The cylinder was perfectly fine, as was the piston when it came off my other bike. However after sitting for a few months it developed a light oxidation on the cylinder wall. My question is what do I do? Hone and put new rings on the old piston?

Depends on how light the oxidation is. Honing it and reringing it will always be the best solution. If it is light enough, you might get away with scuffing the rust off with a green scotchbrite pad, oiling it and running it. The compression test you do afterwards will tell you whether it was good enough. To put it simply, if you can clean off the rust, you are probably ok. If you can't. and there is visible pitting, then you need it honed at the very least, with a possible bore job if it is really bad.
yea it is super light and its only on one little spot. so you think i can just clean it off with wd40?
