Broken Kick Start! New to the Forum..

What goin on everyone?? New to the site, have a few questions.. A buddy the other day finished off my kick start, and it seems to be stripped out on the inside! Am i in over my head to fix it? Any one know any good suggestions on what to do? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the site.

I know that the kickstart pedal is 130$ CAN at the dealer, but you can find some cheap ones on ebay.
I would remove it and check the gear to see if it stripped too, maybe it's just the pedal that is stripped

Yeah, its not the actual pedal i found out today, i took the side apart today and found a gear sheared right in half. I need to find on the internet somewhere a diagram of the inside of it so i can see what gear that actually is.
