Was trying to adjust idle, wasn't idling. And the screw under the seat on a 2000 blaster broke. Still won't idle and was wondering if the screw needs to be replaced. And how to make it idle????

may try a easy out and get the screw out and try to get one off the net or maybe even the yamaha shop can order you one, or you could get the tors elimination kit and install it

A lack of idle may suggest a compression problem, or warped reed pedals. The only way to break an idle screw would be to turn hard clockwise untill failure. The correct adjustment, if memory serves me right is 1 1/2 turns out.

getting top end rebuild, is this still going to be a problem adjusting the idle?
