breaking up at 3/4 to top of gear

ok excuse the ignorance slash misspeling cause im half lit !!!!! .. my blaster is starting to break up at top to 3/4 of the gears 1st thru 3rd havend got it to top of 4th lately vcause of short tra\k . new plug also any help would be aprieciated .

supposed jet kit but dont know numbers till i get it apart what the fuk is this TORS sh*t ontop of carb ????????

It's yamaha's way of cover there ass legally for safety, to us riders it's a another part that will go wrong.

88-02model- Unplug the tors unit Black box one with least amount of wires (three or four) Located under the hood also follow the switch from the throttle box unplug that, and unplug the connector on the carb box-leave them unconnected, now tyou just disabled the tors unit!

03-06 model- Unplug the throttle switch and the carb switch cut the plug off the harness side and connect the Yellow and black wires together solder them then tape em up, Tors is now deleted.

I'd get a bigger carb too if your running a 240BBK, and then you can ditch that big box and that small ass carb. you can go up to a 30mm with little mods to the intake system. Any larger then you will need a bigger intake boot and Airbox tube mod. Search it it's all in here.

Lastly dump that old gas out and start fresh with 32:1 mix I would use some good oil, klotz, Maxim super M. These are superior to the everyday general 2-stroke oils! Again make sure the oil you use is made for premixing!
