breaking in a new rebuild?

let it run 15min shut off let cool hour
repeat
15min of 50% throttle let cool 30min
60% throttle 15min cool 30min
and go up 70%,80%90% and once you can go wide open do the same procedure for 15 min and let cool for 30min i did this i have no problems (knock on wood)

first start.. let idle for 10-15 min. let cool tell completely cold..
rist ride.. ride around using 30% throttle for 15 min. let completely cool

second ride 50% throttle for 15 min of riding.. let cool completly..
repete process at 75% than 100%... know alot of guys that break in new stuff this way.. i.e. brand new wheelers and bikes

thers lots of ways but the basic concept is to run it very easy for the first hour to make the rings seat the cylinder, i let it idle for about half an hour in 10 minute sessions, then run it half an hour no more than 3/4 throttle

holy sh*t i jsut rode mine like always when i first got it! didnt know that you need to break it in when its brand new,sh*t,but tis running fine,so maybe i got lucky and didnt do any harm

thanks guys. need to go riding :( but no place to ride

ride your yard and driveway... my back yard like 10 by 25 and my driveway about 60-70 feet i cruise it al the time.. if not any room.. load it up.. take it out to a dead end in the country and cruise the dead end.. or even a empty industreal park works.. thats what i did tonight

I go with the:

Start and idle for 15 mins, cool down
Ride a bit at 1/2 throttle, cool down
Ride a bit more at 1/2 throttle, cool down
Ride in all gears, and throttle to "develop" a power band.

Did this when I rebuild my top and have had no issues at all. Bike pulls really hard!
