brass thing on my carb??

just kinda curious bout somethin on or in my carb..... its like a little brass thing that clamps on to the carb... i have never had to rejet or anything before and am wondering if this has anything to do with it?? thks,,

No I don't think it's the jet's I believe the jet's are in the bowl, idk though i'm not good with that stuff.

is it the little thingy that is supposed to hold the cap on your carb in place?

to rejet you have to take the carb float bowl off. you can't see them from the outside. the carb cap lock is sort of brass colored, but that is obviously a cap lock. a picture would help.

oh and if it is the cap lock, it has nothing to do with rejetting. it has a phillips head screw to tighten it down, and holds the carb cap on the little ribbs so it wont come loose. (sometimes it does too) its at the top section of the carb
