brake switch questions

Am I correct that 1 the brake switch is located on the righthand frame down by the brake pedal and it's a screwy electrical connector there. Also will a blaster start if it is not connect to the pedal assembly?

yes and yes. blaster will run perfectly without it

that's what i figured, would it be ill advised to cut out the switch and just splice the harness so if the quad is running the light is on? i do most of my driving running from the house to our fields on gravel.
