My questions are
1. How much power gain
2.will it fit with the stock carb and reeds
3.how much are they to buy
4. Are they any good
...????

not sure of the price but you can search ebay for that. the rad valve really doesn't get much recognition on this site. no one here really runs one. one guy use to and he seemed to really like it. There isn't a power increase. it is just better throttle responce

They are completely underrated. I ran one on my 240 and I LOVED it! Not one problem and it was very snappy! As for power gains, couldn't tell you. I added them with everything else so it was all a collective improvement.

How does it work with different sized carbs? If I bought one I would expect it to come with the parts to use the OEM 26mm so how would I use say a 34mm carb with one?

There are two styles, The older model used the stock intake and has the cut out for it, The newer models use a rubber boot which does come with it and will fit up to a 30mm carb ( as i had this set up). If you have a larger carb you will have to get a silicone reducer from where AWK said. The boysen instructions say you will drop a jet size or two. But i believe that only refers to stock motors, as I was stroked/ported/piped and was running close to what others ran with similar setup and VF3's. I think the rad valves helps "stuff" the intake and create more velocity, low end grunt, But it did scream up top too!

I want to try the VF4's! All vforces are cheaper to buy than the rad valve! And replacement petals are about the same cost.

Below are pics of the new style (top) and older style next to the VF2's (bottom)!

OH crap my pics didn't attach sorry!

Top pic is newer style-

Older style must use stock intake boot!- VF2's next to it!
