Boyesen Reed cage?

Hey Guys,

I went to install a Boyesen reed cage I bought and found out I don't have all I need. It seems the carb installs right on the stock reed cage, but the Boyesen requires a rubber boot. Anyone know where I can get the correct boot? I'm sure I could run down to the auto store and find something, but I really don't want to do that. I'd like a nice finished piece that has the correct clamps. Any help would be appreciated.

do you mean you got a rad valve and need the boot that goes from the cage to the carb?

the stock reed cage sits in the intake side of he jug, and the stock intake boot goes between the cage and the carb

yup you just need a rubber boot I would just get it at Home Depot or Lowes and 2 hose clamps.

But if you want the regular one the try contacting Boyesen...

if u measure to innner and outer diamter of both your carb and rad cage i might have one i dont need pay for s/h ill give it to u

its called a fernco coupling, available at any lowes, depot, hardware or plumbing store if you need it fast, if ya want a good silicon one try here, i got one for the back of my carb, you'll have to measure both o.d.'s
and clamps too, nice piece and fast shippers too.......

it came with my oko 30mm carb should work lowes or homedepot would be easier tho

Thanks for all the offers guys. I wasn't looking for a handout, but if somenone has the proper part I'll gladly pay price plus shipping. I just want the correct part for a stock carb.

I have one more question. Do I need to install these with Boyesen reeds and cage? They seem to limit the travel of the reed.

I did not use the "cage' part. My rad valve doesn't have it either.
