So I have a question about the boy earn rad valve. Is it necessary to go down a few main jet sizes for for the reeds?

No reed changes do not require a change in jetting. You may want to do a leak test.
I planning to build a leak down tester but I pretty sure my head sealed. My intake boot had a leak but I replaced that.

Do you mean the Boyesen "RAD" valve ? If you mean the aftermarket RAD valve and not just Boyesen reeds then yes, you may need to adjust your jetting. Usually changing reeds doesn't require jetting changes but 2x out of 3 I had to re jet with the Boyesen RAD valve. I actually went down on the main << sounds odd I know but that's what the plug chop said. Both instances i only dropped one size and one was with an Fmf and the other was with a right bend pipe (Ct, power pros,f7, etc...)..

You should plug chop to confirm your jetting though since every motor/combination is different.. What
are all of your mods now and what is current jetting ?

Yes I mean the rad valve. I have 220, 230, and 240 main jets and 30, 32.5 pilot jets. Do you think any of those would work or does the main need to be smaller? I have no mods unless you count being bored to 68.25 a mod. And if I would want to install reed stoppers is it necessary to remove the metal bar that's bolted on top of the reeds or do I just bolt the reed stoppers on top of that bar?
