Well my 13 year old decided it would be fun to run the piss out of her Blaster and not shift until it was screaming as loud as it could and the bottom seized on her. I pulled the head and jug off and the piston isnt damaged at all. I went to turn the bottom end over with the kick lever and it's locked up pretty solid. I'm taking it to a friend of mine who has a motorcycle shop to fix but was wondering what type of damge she might have caused. And yes it did have oil in the bottom end, I checked that before we went riding.

She probably locked up on the main bearings. They're mildly lubricated at best and during sustained high RPM runs they can overheat and the oil can breakdown.

The main bearing lubrication relies on the fuel charge picking up some oil out of the bottom end and carrying up to the transfers where the charge is stopped momentarily and the oil is allowed to run back down and into the lube hole. Very high RPM running doesn't allow the charge to stop long enough and the oil stops running down the lube hole and the bearings starve.

Nope she managed to weld the connecting rod to the crankshaft. the piston is junk. Its all torn apart now and just waiting for the verdict for the repairs.

No sorry was to mad to take pics, The motor is already at my buddies shop so far he ordered and new crank and rod, Piston and all the bearings. should be up and running in about a week and a half. That's if I manage to pull my foot out of her arse by then bcuz she is paying for it with her Ebonds. She asked why she had to and I told her everything she did to it was preventable, Because all she had to do was shift the darn thing to a higher gear.

Well finally got the motor put back in the blaster, After total rebuild and I mean total rebuild. Came to about $615 for everything. New Wiseco crank and rod, New bearing completely thru out the motor, New piston and rings, Bored cylinder 30 over. All new gaskets, New reeds, New clutch and a weld job inside the motor where she decided to chunk a hole in the case. Choked it and kicked it and fired up on first kick, I was really amazed at that. Sounds wicked and idles very smooth, Took it for a short easy ride down my street and then let it idle for about 30 minutes. Shut it off and let it cool for about an hour and then restarted it and let it idle for another 30 minutes to get a few heat cycles in it. Running a little more oil in the fuel to get it lubed before I hammer on it.

did your mechanic do a leakdown on the motor? That is just weird to blow it like that just runnin the piss out of it. how hard and long was she revin it?
