Bottom End...Help!

i was out cleanin my quad after a ride this weekend and i noticed a couple pieces of electrical tape on the bottom end of the engine. i was surprised bcasue ive had the blaster almost a full year coming up and i never noticed this! anyway i took off the tape and theres a hole! i dontknow if this is normal or if theres any better ways to seal it up. or maybe its not even supposed ot be there! any helps appreciated. heres a pic... (the red is the hole and the yellow is the tape)

the whole is for the gromet for the oil injection system pump lines. yours is blocked off so theres no lines coming out of there. if the pumps taken out and has the little plate attached inside, its not really critical thats its sealed extremly tight but try to get that hole sealed so you dont end up having it full of sand.

i was thinking it might have been from that becasue the previous owner did the block off. plus its a nice hole, not like a hole that looked like it was punched out or damaged or anything. phewf. thanks. i have a couple rubber fittings i could shape up to fit in it. and with a little silicone it should be fine. what do other people use to cover that hole?

most leave the stock grommet and do something with that. i filled the 2 holes int he gromet with some silicone.
