you dont want to bore it more than you have to so you can extend the life of your cylinder.

well, if the motor is put together right, within spec, no airleaks and jetted correctly you can ride wide open untill it runs out of gas, then put more gas in and ride it wide open some more. I have gone done more 6th gear sandwashes wide open for miles more times than I can count.

you should check it, but most of the time its not needed
