MY TOWN, PA
Alright, figured I Would throw this out there to see if a fresh set of brain cells can help out.

Anyway, bike was fine, and I mean fine, 110%, for sure.

The other day took it out to trailer up to go riding and while fueling up/warming up, etc, noticed it would not rev right. So, I figured the typical 2 stroke warm up, clean out, etc was a little finicky this morning. So, I took it out on the street in front of my house to attempt to run it out, get it clean etc before putting it up on trailer to assure all was well. NO, never cleaned out, still running like it is trying to warm up, like the choke is on when it should not be, etc.

WTF??? I have completely ripped apart and done the following, 3 times already as of now:

compression test: 127psi, good to go
Took off carb and checked all jets(compressed air, etc)
Checked float and pin
Checked fuel lines, petcocks for blockage, etc, nothing
I have oil block off so not injection issue
Air filter removed, checked, cleaned, etc
Pulled reed cage, inspected, looks perfect(also recently added a reed spacer, noticed there was no plug/cap in the back of the reed cage, should their be or just open through to the reeds?)

I have replaced the spark plug with new and ran it again for a few minutes, gets wet/black residue, like rich, but again nothing changed????? If rings were an issue I would not be getting the good compression tests right?!?!?

I again did no changes to the bike, ran perfect before putting away the other day.

What is weird is it is fine down low R's, but as soon as you throttle up it wants to rev then bogs and stalls, unless you feather the throttle slightly before stalling then it will idle again, and idles beautifully. Now, when you rev it hard you hear the airbox sucking, then bog bog, stall, I am clear out of ideas and again have ripped everything apart 3 times now, WTF??

Any insight would be helpful, I am getting no where and weekend is coming, riding would be nice. :)

sounds like a crank seal does it smoke alot

No, not all all, looks just like it does when it screams...

As I said I put it away last week running top notch, makes no sense...

Racking my brain, I have been through everything and compression is right on, hmmmmm....

wow okay yb200's last answer didn't load until i just posted...lol my bad but yeah my guess tors or bad gas? like bad octane maybe? i don't think that would be it but worth a guess

tors unit??????????

That makes a little more sense since I was farking with it putting in my spacer, removing carb twice, etc, tors moves with everything else while you are in there, what could have gone wrong here? Do not know jack about TORS other than throttle control when detects faulty pressure, etc. Is there a way to bypass to test, etc? Again, not big on TORS and have no kit to remove right now, etc. Tell me more if you know TORS, where to attempt to bypass for troubleshooting, etc.

I am listening?

yeah for some reason that sounds like it went on ya...my neighbor's 03 blaster did this to us and we were not new to bikes but had no idea about it and basically went through the whole bike kinda like what u did and the bike would idle and as soon as u give it gas it would fart out and stall like instantly so that def sounds like it is...if u follow the link u should be good honestly i don't even think i took out the box on mine i just cut the two wires coming out of the throttle and left the switch cause then water would get into the throttle cable so either way it works

man this same thing happened to me, i just found out last nite that the gas i had at the lake makes my bike run really weird and it bogs and dies, someone put water in my tank.
i drained all the gas cleaned my tank out and now she runs like a bat outta hell

gas tanks.. can get moisture in them a couple ways.. i got some gas from the station up here three diffrent times and each time it had water in it.. thats why i havent been ridding in over two weeks.. i need race gas and thats the only close place..

Well, thx for all of the feedback, the TORS removal link, etc. I walked through the TORS disable, step by step, that crap is now gone, even removed all the cables/wires, plugged the throttle housing, etc.

UNFORTUNATELY, if ya can believe it, same thing. No change whatsover. It will start right up, idle, perfect, as soon as you mash the throttle bog and die, instantly. It will idle, but not take any throttle heavy enough to get movin without falling flat on it's face. The plug is soaked black like there is no compression, bad rings etc, but compression still reads 128...

Very strange, cannot figure the damn thing out, hmmmmmm...... :-/:-/:-/:-/

sounds like maybe it's a ignition issue or timing . check your key way and coil and maybe check wiring. could be that upper rpm's aren't firing right and then loads up with gas and can't clean out. you should of noticed a diff when you changed your main jet so it would make me think it was ignition/timing.

Yeah, that is another thought, will check it out.

Yup, no difference to #230 in, #290 in, air box lid off, on, etc...

not many things left to check, im having float troubles and bogging, i have to set the float almost to nuthin , then screams, i moved it back and bad bogging??? but never stall, i'd check your flywhell/woodruff key to see if it is out of timing or check your cdi box, any buddies have one to swap out???

Unfortunately NO, have no CDI to test/swap, I Will try to figure out something. Maybe can run the CDI in to the local shop to test, if they would consider this.
