blown up blaster

hahaha, no you're not! they said they're boring it 0.070 over right? that's not a 270. it's not possible to bore the stock clynder to 270, even if the sleeve could take it, the cylinder itself would overheat in the first 1/2 hour of riding!!!
if they're boring to 70 over it would make it like a 202cc or so.
there's no way to overbore the stock cylinder enough to feel a difference. it's impossible. you'd need an aftermarket cylinder and head (like the vitos 240 kit or one of the other several brands out there) to feel the difference.
also, i think you'll regret it if you don't pull the crank out. i had a similar problem happen to my sh*t and i found chunks of metal in my crank bearings and my rod bearing.
i would HIGHLY recommend you split the cases and pull the crank out and clean it properly. i know you said that it broke during kicking and that the engine wasn't run w/ the piston like that, but how can you know for sure? maybe the skirt was eaten up before and you didn't know until a chunk of it got wedged into the crank.....

Gee,, how come you couldnt pull the piece out with a magenet.. Split the case like quam said,,, hate to spend more money again due to a short cut, Plus even if you split the case an inch,, you have to seal it all up now anyway.
