blocked off injection now have a new prob

i blocked of the oil injection by taking the gear out. now when i start it will idle ok some times and others it will rev high so i cut it off. any idias?

did you drain all the gas a premix?
if you did , there might be some unmixed fuel in the carb that will cause it to rev up real high at first but should even out.
Is the gas turned on?

i tried it a couple times and it still doing it, how long would it take to get that gas out? and my fuel is on. i have a clear fuel line i can see its getting fuel

actually it happens more when i try to give it gas it doesnt rev back down it keeps reving higher and i drained the gas and pemixed 32 to 1

sounds like it is sucking air from somewhere

I would block off all oil lines that ran to carb. at most auto parts places you can buy a kit that you use to block off various vacuum lines. the kit consists of just diff sizes of black rubber caps like the photo above shows or also if you can't find those to use you could cut a short section(1 1/2 inch or so) of your old oil line put it back on the carb and screw in a short bolt into the short piece of oil line to seal it.

yes and i used a vacum cap just like that, could air maybe be leaking past the cap? also if the 2 lines going top the pump arnt sealed good would that be a problem?

use a little zip tie or something similar to keep that cap sealed up tight.

For starters sweet avitar i also always have a z car of some sort. It looks like you blocked off the only line going to the carb so you should be ok. I would just double check your premix ratios. its like 4 ounces per gallon of gas for 32to1. I too did the blockoff on two blasters and i do use a different , (premix-only oil), i dont know if that would matter or not

thanks about the z, and the oil i used is for oil injection and u can mix. what do you think about a blown base gasket being the problem?
