AS the title states ive done it again... lol... first time riding her since the broken tailbone (with startups everyweekend) and it happend, pouring white smelly smoke again.... awesome, looks like its time to build the new motor...
before you assume it's a crank seal pull the clutch cover and do a leak down. it could be the collar on the clutch side not sealing to the crank shaft. what brand seals? vito's suck pretty bad in my book
so you said this happened before? you did a leakdown before and confirmed the seal was the culprit?
this might be a bit more serious than a crank seal. you def need to pull the clutch cover and do a leak down. only real way to know.
ok i would still like to hear the results of a leakdown on that motor. just for learning purposes
sweet man. pm me when you do so i dont' miss it
I like to learn. and i got a hunch on this one
If a float adjustment can put fuel in the tranny........ no sir. doesn't work that way
the crank chamber is completely sealed from the tranny. no way no how can gas get through to the tranny from the cylinder without a leak from the clutch side crank seal or a leak between the cases. hell bring it over here. I'll tear into it
