my blaster wil not start & hasnt been running in the past fortnight!
the throttle is very light to start of but when u put it in around 3/4 of the way it feels the right stength, i am thinking that the throttle cable is strechted..would i be right..

Open up the top of your carb, your slide is not in the right spot. make sure it slides in all the way, then try pushing in your throttle, if its tight, its in all the way. if its not that, it will probably be a throttle cable. hope this helps. By the way, to give rep, there are three buttons under users on blasterforum. Hit the one with a circle in a dot in the middle. hope you can figure it out!

nope the carb slide is level with the top of the carb.is that the full way in? so i think it must be the throttle cable..how would i have strechted this? to give rep do i have to go to the main homepage or this thread..

Are you for sure about it? When i rebuilt my carb this happened to me! I didnt have it slide in properly which caused slack. Make damn good and sure before you go to the effort of buying a new cable. That could as much as $35.00 including shipping! Go through it rotate the slide and see if it goes in side the carb. then screw the top of the carb all the way down. and to give rep, just stay on this thread and underneath someone who gave you good advice and you wish to give rep there should be an orange circle with a dot in the middle.

also i am thing of buying new sprockets, i do not race the quad and i am looking for a little more top end but i do not want to have a slow accleration? if its any help there is an FMF power pipe and its gettting jetted tomorrow

What size are your tires? tires play an important role on acceleration, speed, and power.

If you have 20in tires, 14/40 is perfect. You will not lose much acceleration than you already have. I have 18in. holeshots and i'm on 13/40 (stock) gearing. I'm gonna buy some 20in. razr's and go from there since my blaster is more modded than yours. I'm probably gonna go 14/40 as well cause I have a need for speed! lol

your blaster is doing the same thing mine used to.........its a kink in the throttle cable.........put a new throttle cable on and it will be all good
