I just got a blaster a couple weeks ago and ive probably only got at most 1 hour out of it, its a total piece of junk, reeds were cracked so i put new ones in and it ran fine for a day then wouldnt start so had my dad push start me and i put it in first and i pulled the clutch in and the tires were still locked up. and i cant get it to run so i cant troubleshoot the trans. ive already cleaned the carb checked the jets the spark plug and all the other basics but im lost now.

Can u get it into neutral n push it back and forth? If so have u tried a new plug and checked for spark? Also a little background on the blaster would help us help u better

Let me start by saying this. The only time you should have to push start a blaster is if you break your kick starter! If it wont start by kicking it there is a problem. So lets deal with the wheels being locked up. What happens when you put it in nuetral or any other gear? Can you feel the shifter clicking? After we get that figured out we can work on getting it to start. Please list all mods and recent work performed. This will help diagnose problems.

Well I just read your "Noisy transmission" post. You never said what the problem was and then you try to jump start it. If you want some help you are going to have to provide some information.

full FMF exhaust hot rod crank high compression piston. its a 2002. when it is in neutral it will roll fine.

Well if you tried to jump start it in first gear and have good compression it will lock the wheels up. 3rd gear is a good push start gear. First things first. Take the spark plug out. Put the spark plug wire back on the plug and lay it on the top of the motor. Make sure the threads are touching metal. Kick it a couple times and see if you have spark. Should be a fat blue spark. Post results.

Motors only need 3 things to run air, fuel, and spark.

actually i dont think i worded it right. when i push it myself like to the end of the driveway, ill put it in first and pull the clutch in and then it gets really hard to push, but if i have the clutch in it should act like its in neutral and the tires should spin freely

It should spin easier, but not completly free like its in neutral. Check the sight glass on the the motor and see if there is oil in it. It down by the shifter.

Ok good. Onto fuel. What jets are in the carb? Is the tors removed? There is a Phillips head screw on the bottom of the carb. Open it a couple turns and make sure you have fuel coming through. Then find the air screw on the carb. It's a small flathead screw on the left side of carb. Screw it in until LIGHTLY seated, then turn it out (counter clockwise) 1.5 turns. If you have fuel flow and air screw is 1.5 turns out put the plug back in it and try to start it. Make sure key and run switch are on. Post results.

i cant really see in the sight glass, theres something white in there thats covering it almost completely

it has fmf jets in it and the tors is still on the four wheeler. is that something i should remove? ill try to do that as soon as i get home

Yes, remove the TORS. Here is how you do it. Really simple on the first generations.

I would drain your gear oil and change it. If you do not have oil in it you'll need to pop the clutch cover off and do some inspecting.

With that FMF pipe you should have between a 260-280 main. Needle should be in the middle and a 32.5 pilot. When you cleaned the carb did you completely disassemble it and clean it?

Time for a compression test and leak test too. It sounds like a lot, but it's just normal maintenance that needs to be done.

honestly i think theres something wrong witht he stator because some days it will run fine then it wont for no reason. and when it does run my headlight is eratic it will work then it wont

The headlight run from a separate coil that runs the ignition so would have no bearing on spark.

But in saying that, they share a common ground and those connections could be dirty.
