blaster with a 350 warrior motor?

What I am getting from some of the posts is that you fear blowing the engine up.

Keep water out of the intake, use good lubricating oil, jet for the conditions, leak test often and viola problem solved.
Thats one of the main reasons yes. I normally ride for 6 hrs at a time smashing the throttle wide open for a good chuck of the time. Like i said earlier 2 strokes dont last on the trail i ride with the way i ride. My last 2 quads i had that are 2 strokes were turned by a yamaha racing dealer and a polaris dealer (2 very good shops) so its not that my bikes arnt tuned right. Now for you guys harpin on the worrior motor iv owned 2 350s and never once had an issue with the engine. It was always the dam electrical on them.

If your going to put a out of date dinosaur of a 4 stroke motor in your blaster frame then go with something smaller lighter and more power then a worrior motor. Like a ?????

Hummmm Like a Honda NX250 dual-sport bike from 1988 to 1990. The engine was a liquid-cooled, 249 cc, single-cylinder, Nikasil bore, four-valve, DOHC, four-stroke with an electric start, and a it had a bore and stroke of 70.0 mm × 64.8 mm (2.76 in × 2.55 in), 11 to 1 compression ratio, and a counterbalancer, six-speed transmission, 200W alternater. The engine was about 77 pounds and about the same size of a ATC200X engine.

It had 25 hp @ 8500 rpmo_O

Ya but the 350 was free. Its all good i went to another forum to get some help since no one here could actually answer my questions instead of bashing the whole plan. Anyway i got alot of help and positive feed back about this idea.

Very glad that you got someone to agree with you that is is a good plan that you have.

I hope they are not leading you up the garden path, with expectations that you may fail.

No one knows Blasters better the members on this forum.

All who have given you input did so as to not have you make a terrible mistake by creating a hybrid.

I wish you all the best in your venture and promise to not say " I told you so" if you ever ask for help in the future.

Good luck!

NOT Bashing you!! WE just don't like the idea!
Why do people always call out bash, bash, bash, when we disagree with there idea?
If you are going to do this 350 motor swap, then we will try to help!

No one gave me false hopes on it lol they pretty much told me what issues i can run into. And luckily some one on that forum actually has done this swap and has not had an issue with it afterwards.

The engine in question is an absolutely terrible choice. If you're going to switch to a 4-stroke, at least go with a higher performance 4-stroke. The 350 isn't a very well designed engine. Of the 4 that I've dealt with, I've twisted a crank, a friend of mine twisted a crank, and another guy completely destroyed his engine. Only mine was due to over-revving. Get something more capable and reliable than that.

If you must do an engine swap, go with a 125cc or larger 2t dirt bike engine or a 250cc or larger 4t dirt bike engine. To save yourself a headache, allocate the money for the swap into getting the Blaster engine built properly and it'll last for years.

I've been on the same Banshee engine since 2009, and I have absolutely tormented that engine. I've put that engine through things that I'd scream at other people for. It has only lost 2psi on one cylinder during that time. If you take care of a well designed 2-stroke (which a Blaster is), it will last.
i own a 2000 yamaha warrior and have never had problems with it aside from it burning a little bit of oil when i get on it but thats just because the motors probrably never been opened up since it left the factory i also own a yamaha blaster which was never reliable as a cold starting vehicle i rebuilt the top end twice and the third time it blew pieces of piston fell into the transmission and fryed it i had to have it towed home by my sisters honda 250 ex with a semi automatic transmission my warrior has also been towed by this 250 ex though the warrior was able to go again after simple things were done wires sorting on the frame stuff like that but ive never had a major problem with the motor of the warrior
