So my 14 year old and I are rebuilding my old '90 Blaster motor together so he can inherit it. I bought this Blaster 8 years ago and had the motor rebuilt then only to have it returned to me without being able to shift. "Mechanic" left town, etc.
So we're tearing it down together (after sitting in the corner for 7 years) over the past several nights trying to get to the transmission and see what's wrong with it ourselves.
A thought occurred to me after reading somebody's post about the Oil Injection Block off option. After all these years, I'm pretty sure (about 90 %) that I used mixed gas in the tank and never put much thought into it after that.
So, my question is: How do I know for sure my oil injection is blocked off and I'm telling my kid the correct way (to mix gas or not to)?
I know this is a dumb question but just wanting to make sure he doesn't melt down the motor we just spent a bunch of time on.
Thanks in advance!!
