blaster no top end speed or poweband

How long have you been riding it with the fmf and stock jetting ? You are surely lean and the symptoms you have confirm it. No point in replacing the clutch.

What are all of your mods, what air filter, air box lid on or off, pre mix or oil injection, altitude, riding temps ?

You are lean so don't ride until you up your main jet. Stock pilot is fine no need to change. I would start with a 280 main and go down from there. You may end up with a 270-260 ? (all depends on mods etc). You will also want to pick up a few b8es plugs and read up on how to perform a proper plug chop.. You "should" also perform a leakdown test to be sure there is no leaks otherwise you will toast the motor real quick if there is any leaks.

There is a diy thread on how to build a leakdown tester, or you can buy one for cheap on here.

Only mods are goldseries pipe and powercore 2 silencer. I just got rid of the oil injection cause I was worried it wasn't working properly. I just put a 270 main in and moved needle clip to the third position. Still waiting on reeds to come in. What premix do you recomend?

Imo and what I run is 32:1. Try and use a good oil if you can and not cheap Walmart weedwacker stuff. With pre mix you may find you need to up another size on the main. A 270 sounds about right but only with a proper plug chop will you know. I personally like to play on the safe side with one size larger than I need. This way if temps drop allot I know I am still good.

When removing the tors can I just unplug the harness under the front plastic or is there more to it?

Another question..I just installed boyesen reeds on my stock reed cage, there is a very small gap between the bottom layer reeds and the cage. It's not much but noticeable if you hold up to the light. Is this normal? I thought it was supposed to be sealed completely

Ok so I got everything back together abd I finally have top end power abd it pulls pretty good. Only problem now is when ilet the clutch out it bogs down abd wants to die. I have to pin the throttle to get out past that pointbut once I get going it's fine. Is it my airscrew? Pilot jet? Or the needle which i richend by one notch. I messed around with the air screw I couldn't get it tuned in. I also noticed oil underneath the bike. I think it's trans oil since I deleted my oil injection. Would that be a bad gasket I guess?
