blaster keyswitch

ive seen blasters with the keyswitch mounted to the fenders.how do you mount it that way?

Cut a hole in the fender, and use the lock nut already on the ignition to hold it in place.

Just to be different. I mounted mine where they mounted the 03's and up.

so i need to cut a hole in the right fender?how big? im buying the trail tech lights and my key is mounted on the bar so it has to go..you said use the lock nut already on to hold it on?

Take the ignition out of the handle bar mount. Measure the diameter of the ignition cylinder. Then us a paddle bit or hole saw bit to drill it. I think it is 3/4" but don't quote me on that.

sorry to ask again..but after i do all that..what holds the starter in from "falling out"

Starter? You'll see when you take it apart. The threaded portion of the switch is smaller than the top of it. It has a lip on the top of it. Just measure the threaded part, drill that size hole, and drop it in. You'll be good to go.
