Hey guys, If you look in my sig, you will see whats on my blaster. What would be the correct jet for the carb? I think I have a 280 or 290 in there, and a guy I ride with says all I need is a 240...Is he correct?

Right, My airbox is off too. I'm just wondering if I should switch to a lower jet to save some gas, but I dont want it to run like sh*t lol

Save gas? It's a toy, what's a few cents in gas. Do you run the cheapest gas and oil you can find? I run only Sunoco 94 and klotz oil $2.49 gal for gas and like $9 a qt. for oil. I also run a 330 jet.

I just find it funny you want to save gas.

I didn't say I wanted to save gas, I'm just saying he said I should have a 240 jet in it because a 290 is too big and thats WHY it is sucking up gas. I use 93 gas, and castor 927 oil. This has nothing to with wanting to save gas, I just want the right sh*t in the bike.

With the stuff in my sig,I was running a 250 jet.It was really choppy in the top of gears.I switched to 240 and it is running perfectly.

if anything else go up a size or two, look on fmf's site, with that pipe you should have a 270 main and needle in center position... thats with airbox lid on.. id say 290, thats what i was running with that set up

i really need to do a plug chop then, i run lid on but with a bunch of holes drilled in it, fmf fatty, vf3's, reed spacer and all that and am only running 280 in stock carb. maybe im running really lean and thats why my powerband isnt pullin like i think it should.

if its the same thing mine has then its soposed to be like that, its really the powerband not really a cutting out or hesitation

imho thats because of your mods chris. the reed spacer and timing advance should have brought your powerband down into the lowend a bit.

do you have the reed spacer and timing advance tho? those 2 things are specificly to shift the powerband down lower i believe

timing advance, vitos superstock piston/gasket kit, fmf(wich is a low-midrange pipe),clamp on uni,and boyesen duel stage reeds(low end), so idk i dont have the spacer but i dont think it makes much of a diffrence, acording to the builders there useless
