I have Banshees but am new to Blasters. Just purchased one for a friends son and will be storing and maintaining it for him. It is an 04. Has FMF Fatty gold pipe and FMF spark arrester. Still has the TORS on it. Rode it today and it idles really high.

Just curious what jet it needs for Kansas. I think the altitude is 1200ft. It sat outside for a while before I purchased it and I am sure there is moisture issues with the fuel. Plan to drain it and start fresh. Not sure yet if it has stock filter or K&N.

Should I do the TORS elimination kit? Did it on my Banshee and it was the best thing I ever did.

Any mods that can be done to the air intake to help it?

It still has the oil injection and it is working so plan to leave it alone.

Any other mods any one suggests would be greatly appreciated. He wants to put different rear tires on it. It still has the stock ones with the really round corners.

Im gonna say this right now but im sure others will too. get rid of the TORS. i would also recommend getting rid of the oil injection too and just premix it. the reason for that is if for some reason the oil pump were to fail you would cook the engine, but if you were to remove the oil pump and premix it you will know for sure that it is getting oil. just think of it as a cheap insurance plan for the engine. as far as the jet issue goes all i can really say is just play with it until its just right. FYI the factory main jet is a 230 from what i know.

yes you could possibly need to reject it up to at least a 260 with that pipe on there but also the reason for idling so high is there could be an airleak somewhere which will cause that to happen also if your idle is set to high u can adjust that rite under the seat just a banshee....Also i would deff take off the oil injection and premix make sure you unplug and cap off everything to it..... Ive had similar problems to mine after i rebuilt it....If you have any other questions or concerns just send me a pm and I can help you out....

i stil have the tors on mine.. has yet to give me aproblem.. but if it ever does out riding i know what to do to disconnect it..

definatly ditch the injection and go with premix.. 32:1 with a good oil.. klots castor, amzoil if its readly available.. i personally run pro honda hp2..

try turning idle screw on top of tors box under seat counter clock wise if idle goes down your fine.. if not you have aair leak..

intake mods.. remove air box lid, good higher flow filter.. just mae sure you jet it right.. since you should and want to change jetting. ditch the air box lid when you go to rejet and jet it that way... more air + more fuel more power..

for that pipe, fmf says to remove the intake tube off the airbox lid, and set the needle on the center clip with a 270 main jet and stock pilot, but if you take the airbox lid off you need a bigger main jet than that, also search the diy section, theres lots of free mods, like timing advance that make a diffrence
