so i just got my blastor put back together and it idles at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle, I have the brass screw on the carb all the way in. I also have taken the tors out...does the thumb screw on top of the carb still work then? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, kr.

i think the brass screw is your air screw.. the screw to ajust the idle is on the top of the carb u got to take off the seat to get to it .. hope i helped ..

so

i have the brass screw all the way in and it still is too high...i've messed with the thumb screw and it doesn't do anything...possibly because the tors has been removed?

thumb screw

yeah i took the brass screw out and it just idled higher...what is that thumbscrew, what does it do, not the brass idle screw the one on top of the carb that you have to take the seat out to get too

take carb apart and make sure ur slide is workin and clean everything..best thing to do is get a tors elimator kit if u can it has idle screw and all. ur screw on the carb is your air/fuel. it should be at 1 1/2 turns out from all the way in..then turn the screw under ur seat to get it to idle

brass screw... like the airscrew? turn it 1 1/2 turns out. screw the screw on the tors unit on top of the carb the whole way out.
lemme know what happens. may have to blip the throttle to let it reset.

the air fuel screw needs to be between 1/2- 2 turns out, more in means that your pilot jet is too leen, more out means that your pilot is to rich. so in your case it seems the pilot jet is way leen, or really dirty. i bet its just really dirty.

If you dont mind me saying, just last weekend I replaced my nephews stock carb with one of my old banshee carbs since it had the oil block off plate and just reused what he had as in jets into the old banshee carb and runs like a raped ape!
