Hey guys, (heres a little backround). My yamaha blaster has never sat for more than 1 day. But recently, I tried to start my quad and it wouldn't start and If it did the Blaster did not have any throttle response, then die off and stall. So I changed my spark plug, still did not turn on. I cleaned my airlfilter and the quad decided to start. But the problem is, as I accelerated there is no power amd will not rev out. And the engine does not sound as smooth as it once did. What can it be? I am waiting for testers

Not sure. Could be TORS. Could be dirty carb. Could be reeds going bad.

The mechanic who sold me my quad told me that when he did the rebuild 3-4 months ago the reeds looked fine. TORS is already disconnected. I have never let my quad sit and it was very sudden that this happened. Can it still get all gummed up? Could one of my jets have been clogged?

when in neutral does it rev freely and sound like it did previously ?

check that the brakes arent some how hung up.

check you have fuel.

check the reeds, very simple to check out, search for a write up.

stratton.
