Hello, I need some advice. Just change to premix got a new k&n air filter and a fmf power up jet kit. I also have the fatty header pipe and gold series silencer. Changed to the 220 instead of stock main and set needle on 3rd seat. Bike still runs the same only idle on half choke. It will idle for like 30 seconds unless you stay on the gas then shut off. Anybody with a similar setup please help bc we all no taking the needle back out with the spring is such a pain in the ass.

uh you need a bigger main jet. probably be between 280-260. this however is probably not your idle problem

your idle issue is either an air leak or you may have a clogged pilot jet. have you adjusted the air screw? its the small one next to the fuel inlet. you should screw it all the way in and then back it out 1.5 turns.

the reeds might be a problem as well, but usually if they go bad it won't idle at all

stock main is 230 with those mods you want more fuel as in bigger jet

like stated above 260-280 main would be a good starting point and adjust the air screw 1.5 turns out then adjust your idle screw

you can fine tune the air screw but if your less then one turn out from all the way in you need a bigger pilot.

you shouldnt need a bigger pilot tho so take the carb completely apart and clean it good take all the jets out and shoot carb cleaner though them

but deff go up on the main before you blow it up

sounds like youve got the answers you need, just thought id throw this in, theres a guide to jetting it takes some reading but seriously it is worth it im not guna say im a master carb tuners but since reading it im more comfortable with the whole carb jetting thing.
