Blaster Fix up!

Do you realise that if you run that new 14 with an old chain you are tempting providence.

The old chain will quickly wear the new 14 out.

I have experienced times that an old chain has broken trying to accomodate the pitch of the new sprocket.

Sprockets and chains should be kept as matching sets.

I'm getting a new chain, as well as a new rear sprocket, the old chain was horrible, and i would never mix up old and new, i'm replacing it all at once.

The 14 will give you more speed if the motor is man enough to pull it, you will however loose acelleration and consequently be slower off the mark.

I can't get my hub bolts off, they are tight as hell... any advice. I heated, used a hammer, and penetrating oil..

EDIT: Also i hit one of my tires off a tree a few months back and my buddy said it looks like i have a wobble, how could i go about testing that?

Did you try an impact gun?

I made a jig of some sort to hold my axle while its off my bike, so i don't have to have someone to hold my axle while i was loosening the bolts. There might have been an easier way to hold my axle but i felt pretty damn smart when i thought of this.

Pretty self explanatory.

As to testing the axle you would either need a lathe and dial indicator or V-blocks and D.I. Or ride on smooth road and look for wobble. Or with carrier supported and someone on it in case of OOPPS, run it in gear and watch.

Yeah i thought of the in gear, but i don't want to put it all together again just to have a bent axle, maybe i can see what we got in the auto shop at school.

Even with that jig i still couldn't get the hub bolts off!

Paint it whatever colors you like.I am sure it will make it look better. Are you still having trouble getting the bolts free on the rear axle? If so lmk and I can always stop by and get them loose for you.
