I'm starting to have a little free time and have been making progress reading a lot of different threads. I'm very impressed with this site and all it has to offer. The DIY threads are my favorite. Lots of very smart and innovative people here. I mean see thru clutch covers with led lights.................AMAZING! One mystical subject I keep seeing is building engines, porting and head mods. I found this site a few years back and actually built this motor for my wife. I definitely makes very usable power. We ran a Toomy B1 pipe, 34 mm flat slide carb, and Boysen reeds but other than that, it's a 100% copy. The reason I think this site is relevant is that this guy walks you thru the entire process of a great engine build. Don't get me wrong, I have my own specs and ideas but I really have to give this guy credit for putting all of his hard work out there for all to see. I never put it on the dyno so I can't tell you what the numbers are but it pulls hard and is very dependable. Check it out.
