I was riding my blaster today, it started up in one kick with the choke in (first start of the day) and it just bogged down and died and didn't start back up after I rode it for about 5 mins. Then I let some gas out and let it sit for a little while and it started back up. The air filter was really dirty but i just put a new one on right now, I got a new top end put in in like may and a brand new stator put in as well, I do 32:1 mix cuz i cut my oil off as well...what could have happened to it?

did you rejet when you added new filter, and took the lid off? then plug chopped?? did you do proper brake in procedure? do you oil your filters? DID YOU LEAK DOWN TEST AFTER REBUILD!?? also does it ride fine now that you put new filter in??

Well, it died with an old filter on it. No I didn't rejet when I put the new filter on but i haven't ridden it yet to tell you if it rides fine yet. Yeah I did the proper break in procedure and no I didn't do a leak down test after rebuild. I must though that I've ridden it many many times since the new top end was it and nothing has ever went wrong except for the stator going. And when I bought the quad and it didn't have the lid on it, so no I don't have the lid.

it it were mine, compression test, leakdown test, check what main jet is in, plug chop, then go from there, and always oil the filter properly before use. what are your mods on the blaster? and whats your elevation?

Sounds like it doesn't have a consistent fuel flow ... check petcock, fuel delivery hose, and the breather/vent on your gas cap to make sure nothin is blocking any of those. Is your TORS still hooked up ?
