Blaster Clutch lever pushes Basket

Hey guys, first post here because I am just stumped on this thing. So I got this 02 Blaster and had to buy some stuff for it, new clutch, new tranny gears (the gears had chipped teeth off of them) new forks, and a new plate cover. The problem I'm having is, when I pull on the clutch lever the rod pushes the plate with the inner basket and outer basket together and doesn't push the clutch plates out at all. When I looked closer, it's pulling out the whole shaft, with the basket. Do you guys think it's a problem with the new transmission? The clutch? Basket? The rods maybe?
 
Yeah, I was following his videos when I was replacing my tranny. Found a seized gear too following Oconner so that was good. I'm missing that small piece on the main shaft that holds the rubber piece from moving around (the semi circle with two screws) but that wouldn't affect the shaft from going back and forth. I'll try to make a video tomorrow and upload it. Could it be the clutch lever? Cuz I had mine welded a little and flattened (following oconners advice that it was too worn)

No, it's the piece that goes right before the washers. I looked at other forums and one said I might have different size washers? But idk how that would stop the whole shaft from moving so much?:/​
 
Yeah #23 it was just welded a tiny bit at the bottom where the rod pushes against it because it had quite a hole engraved into it already.
 
Sorry that's an older pic, I had a new one come in yesterday. And I torqued it to 58ft like Oconner said so ....honestly im just super confused :/. I'm thinking it's the bearing that's sliding around? Or something on the inside of the tranny. Really don't want to open it up again.
 
The piece you're missing ( bearing retainer) is the problem. The other problem you have is the bearing moving back and forth in the case. That bearing is a slight press fit. You may get lucky by just installing the retainer.
