Yes, throttle wide open and kicked until needle stopped. That is what I am thinking is that the rings and/or piston are shot. Gonna have to get in there I guess and check it out. Any idea where I can get a good leak-down tester?

Another update: Well I removed the head and cylinder. Found a piston that has a nice swatch of aluminum melted from it to the exhaust side of the cylinder. The piston and rings are fused together and will need replaced. I am gonna try to hone the cylinder and see if I can get that small bit of aluminum off. If so I will gauge the cylinder and if all good put back together with new piston. Otherwise i will have to bore it or replace the damn thing. At least I have the problem identified.
Well all, I put her all back together today. Rebuilt carb, new piston and rings, new wrist pin and bearing, new gaskets; She fired up on the first kick! Thanks for all the advice, she runs like new.
